It is a very nice stock Laguna Gray 350/300 matching numbers. My first vette ever and while it is not an LT-1 or Big Block, I am completely satisfied. Had to travel 800 miles from my home just to look at the car. Now I have been able to get a fair shipping rate, but it will not be here for three weeks. The wait is going to kill me. Could have driven it home, but at 40+ did not want to subject the old back to that distance considering it would not have been exactly a Cadillac ride. Can`t wait. Will post pics when she gets here. Thanks for all the advice. Everybody replied with basically the same answer. Mileage be damned if it is a nice car. It is.
Congrats!! Sounds like a great car! It is a running joke of mine, how just about every 30+ year old car that comes up for sale has between 50k and 75k miles on the clock!! How many of those do you think are genuine? My personal opinion is that many are correct, but you have to add a "1" or a "2" in front of the mileage because the odometer lacks that digit. Many more have been turned back, and others probably ran for years with the speedo cable disconnected. Then a few.... very few... sat in garages undriven for 20 - 25 years at a time. Is that a good thing? Not so sure.... keep driving your vette and one day you too will show 50k on the odometer!! :) MJ
Or, I could have been brief, and just said: what bammavettes said!!
WAY TO GO MAKONUT!!!!!
I THINK YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH YOUR NEW BABY. ( I LIKE THE 300 HORSE MOTOR BECAUSE I RUN PREMIUM UNLEADED WIYH NO PROBLEM.)
MINE IS NOT THAT FAST, BUT IT GET'S A LOT OF "THUMBS UP" WHEREVER
I TRAVEL TO.
AS FOR ME, AT AGE 47 I AM LIV'IN MY DREAM!!
GOOD LUCK, GENE
Congrats Makonut! Welcome to the forum. If you want to get started out right why not join a bunch of us from the Tidewater area this coming Saturday at the new Hooters in Virginia Beach? A group from over there on your side of the water are going to meet at the Burger King on J. Clyde Blvd at noon and caravan over here and we are all going to meet up at 1 o'clock at the Hooters on General Booth. Even with out the vette you are more than welcome. :yesnod: Just let the guys know that you are a member of the forum and they will lead the way. :D Hope to see you Saturday.
Laguna grey - good color.
You will be suprised how smooth a base coupe will drive. I usually drive my 71 when I want to give my back/neck a break from my wifes car (she drives a 4x4)
Welcome to the forum

 Congratulations! Be sure to check out the '70 Corvette Registry (Click on the logo below). Laguna Gray is a fairly rare color. According to the 600+ 1970 Corvettes registered so far approximately 8% were Laguna Gray from the factory. Please send in your vehicle specs for the database once the new toy arrives. :yesnod: There's lots of information on the registry website to help pass the time while you're waiting..... :D ~Juliet

Re: Bought the 70 with high mileage (LT1driver)
My 70 is also the 350/300 horse version. You will be happy with it. I have a bottle of some lead type additive I use whenever I fill and it runs like a top. Just keep the premium and you will be fine. Although I don`t know if I could stand to wait 3 weeks for my car to be here if I had just bought it.
That means we have to wait 3 weeks for pix.
We will be here waiting. I love that color.
