Default Automatic rip off?

Here's the difference, in stout factor, of what you get for u-joints with an automatic vs. manual tranny vettes. Uh, the small Spicer's are for the A/T cars (80-81 anyway). Were these two years the only time they used the smaller u-joints on automatics? The '82 (all A/T's) use the larger ones. I feel so abused.... :smash:

The "weak" rearend will hold up fine when you don't use sticky tires and don't exceed like 350Hp or so. So, if you fit that category you're haulin'some major weight there :smash:

:mad I felt really cheated when I saw that pic. But think about it - it's less weight for the motor to move = more power at the wheels. The weight saving has got to be worth at least 3 stickers worth of power :jester

I was once told by somebody that if I increased the power output of my L81 I'd blow the diff up, maybe he has a point (just meant the UJ's rather than the diff)?
