Default C3 met it's first flatbed....

well, red wire broke off alternator and touched alternator body...car is totally dead...battery tested good...fusible link? need to troubleshoot...ideas?

Yes probably a fusible link. What year? Depending on the year, there is one under the master cylinder and also at the starter.

If this is the first time a 79 has seen a flatbed, that's pretty impressive.

I'd check at the starter.
