i went to a 10 minute lube place for an oil change , they used a computer to find out what filter to use . just noticed that the filter is leaking oil onto the headers and after checking the oil there wasnt much in there so now i plan to do my own oil changes. what oil filter do you guys use? any tips ?
I use only the AC-Delco PF35 filter. It is larger than the stock type filters and will hold more oil than the PF25 filter. I don't know if it really makes much of a difference, but I figure that there is more surface area to the filtering material with the larger filter.
AC Delco or FRAM, and NEVER let a minimum wage kid work on your Corvette! Too many stories about stripped drain plugs, wrong filters ect.
Just my 2 cents. :nono:

:yesnod: same. also anything made by 'Wix' is good, ie: Kranolator. I've been told Fram's have the poorest filtering ability except for the top of the line version.
I believe I am currently using the PF-35 style.....Very poor fit for my application. It is VERY close to my headers and actually took a little work to get it in. I'm not sure how much larger the 35 is but I'd be sure to check where your exhaust runs. I'm going back to the 25 next oil change.
