Question regarding Low Beams 1977 C3
My low beams dont seem to come on. Those are the outer lights on the headlights correct? When I open the lights the light for bright comes on and the inner lights come on the headlights. Both sets coming on should indicate the brights I believe. I replaced the dimmer switch as the old one had cracked ceramic. Lights still go up and down and dash dims but still no low beams.

I'd start by checking the voltage on the wire coming into the driver side low beam light. On my 78, it is a tan wire mounted at the top of the plug. The wire junctions there to the passenger low beam. If you don't have +12v there, likely either the headlight switch or break in the wire. Confirm you have a good ground as well. Service manuals and electrical diagrams are great troubleshooting aids here.

The outer lamps have 2 elements, a hi and and a low beam in them. Like Shark Racer said, could be bad bulbs. When the inner lamps are on(hi beam) all 4 lamps should be on hi beam. On low beam, only the low beam filaments in the outer lamps should be on. The outer lamps should never have both low an hi beam filaments on at the same time, they will overheat and burn out.
