2004r - used rebuild... worth it?
Hello guys.
I'm thinking about going with a 2004r. I'm in Canada, so looking at local options.
There is a rebuilt 2004r but I'm unsure if the modifications listed in the ad are what I'd need, or if there is anything missing from a typical performance rebuild.

I'm looking to put it behind a 350 with no more than 400hp.
Is it worth it, or should I stay away?

I HAVE A 1986 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL REBUILT 2004R TRANSMISSION WITH A TRANSGO STAGE 2 SHIFT KIT, A HUGE 2ND GEAR BILLET SERVO, ITS BIGGER THAN THE GRAND NATIONAL ONE, THIS TRANSMISSION IS COMPLETLY REBUILT WITH 0 MILES ON IT IT HAS ALL NEW REYBESTOES CLUTHES STEELS AND BAND, ALL BUSHINGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH CLEVITES, NEW O/D SPRAG, NEW LOW SPRAG, REMACHINED PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH HARDENED TURBINE STATOR AND UNBREAKABLE PUMP RINGS, .500 TV BOOST VALVE, .300 INT BOOST VALVE, 6 PACK REMACHINED DIRECT DRUM, LOW PLANET IS BEARING TYPE, IT COMES WITH A NEW O/D PLANETARY, ALSO INCLUDE IS A REBUILT GRAND NATIONAL TORQUE CONVERTER, $1500

Seems like a good deal, got all the right parts, it should handle your power level easily. The Grand National trans is the most desirable.
Be sure to check the tag on the right rear of the trans, it should have printed on it, BRF.

It sounds OK. Listed as $1500 exchange. There were 3 posted in different areas for the same price on the same day. Looks like a transmission shop pretending to be an individual.
