Didn't someone ask about putting chrome bumpers on a '74 or newer vette? Anyway, here's apic of something similar:

It's hard for me to determine whether this is a chrome bumper car with an aftermarket rear bumper, or a soft bumper car with the front end replaced. As I mentioned, the front fenders, surround, grilles, etc would have to be converted to match up with the chrome bumper. This one doesn't have the wiper door, and the tops of the fenders don't have the reveal moldings, but the lines of the top of the fenders near the windshield look like '70-'72 rather than '73+ which curve upward a little more. It's got the later model sport mirrors, which started when? And the rear side marker lights are in the right place to match up with the soft rear bumper.
Interesting. Anyone see more clues as to the original pedigree of this car?

Man, you know your stuff! The ad said it was a '70 so I assume the person put a later model ('74) rear end on it. Personally I like the chrome on the back but this is neat looking too.
