Default 73 Battery Drain

Hi,

My 73 will drain the battery in 48 hours or less. Battery has been tested good. With car running I have 14 VDC at the battery. I started making a few checks, what I have learned is that with car turned off, I have battery voltage at both terminals 1 and 2 at the alternator. I disconnected the connector from the alternator and I still have battery voltage at the connector on both terminals. With the car turned off, shouldn't I have 0 VDC at the number 1 terminal?
Bad ignition switch?
Other places to check?

Cheers,
B

You are correct. That wire comes from the ign switch, brown/white then comes out of the bulkhead connector brown and goes to the alternator connector. If you need an electrical schematic, pm me your e-mail address.
