Default Intake 72 BB.

I want a new and better intake for my 72 BB.
New engine, 468 with roller cam and 10,5 CR, stock 048 oval port heads.
Holley Sniper EFI carb.
What options do i have to fit under my stock BB hood?

Chances are that the LS6 intake is the best you are going to do. Regardless of port shape on your heads, it will work with rect gaskets, and will give you the square bore carb pad for that EFI.

I think your only options are the intake Dave mentioned or the Edelbrock Torker II I think it's called. An L88 hood would give you a couple more options.

I was told by Edelbrock that their Torker II was the only one they knew would fit the Corvette. I installed it with their 800 cfm Thunder carb & still had to slightly modify an air cleaner . Ask around. Others will have suggestions.

I just bought an LS6 (repro) to fit mine. I am under the understanding that it is the only one that will fit under the hood and it was a dual plane which I needed.

I also did the LS6 repro.

On the stock BB Hood it fit's with plenty of room. You will need to add a carb spacer to the linkage won't make contact with the manifold.

I use a 1/2 4 hole and also use the OEM carb heatshield.

Amazon Amazon

This is the max with a 3" filter. Leaves just enough room for the hood to close and not make contact with the engine moves under load.

Here is a picture when I was installing everything.

DD, what did you do for pulleys and brackets or did you have the original ones to your car ?

Ok, LS6 repro or Torker 2..
Difference between them if any?
Wich should i go for?
Big question is...will it make any difference?
I am not going to swap to L88 hood, stock BB hood is in my opinion a piece of art!

LS6 is a dual plane. It helps with the low end.

I checked with the a few engine builders and they all suggested the LS6 over the Torker.
Don't forget the notch the divider and use square port gasket.

They also all said I'm leaving HP on the table but it's the price you pay to keep the stock hood.

Same here, except L36 intake. I could probably squeeze in a performer with the 74 hood and a dropped base air cleaner, but the stock intakes are so much more stealthy looking.

I setup my fuel line so I could go back to the L36 intake with Q-Jet easy.

I used a Q-jet line and filter then I cut the flared the LS6 fuel line to connected to the Q-jet fuel filter.

Instant stock look LOL.
