Help locating a Dimmer Pivot Switch for 78?
My dimmer pivot switch in my steering column is broken, and I need to replace it. I have no problem tearing it apart, as I have done so in the past to replace the turn signal switch. But now that I know which part is broken, I'm having trouble finding it. The part I need is listed in this web page, although I'm unsure which one. It's been a while since I looked at the pivot (when I change the turn signal switch) but none of the major online Corvette stores stock them

Does anyone know of a place that carries these? I believe I need 7833702 but I'll have to verify.

Wow, that was incredibly fast. If only it didn't cost as much as a down payment for a house. I really appreciate the help though! I'll verify that is indeed the same pivot switch I need and probably order it up

I appreciate s carter and WVZR-1 help. I understand the column now and could do it again ( minus pulling entire column) in under an hour, part of the problem was the way someone had it before . I could likely bolt this column back up and set the clockspring and it be ok but I had to plastic weld some items and I think if I can get a reman column that’s what I’m going to do. I did pull the brake booster while I was there, had to do that anyway to pull the cam covers for porting and powder coating.
