I really appreciate the pics, Big2Bird.

Which exhaust are you running that's 3" higher? *edit*: Sorry, if you're running stock exhaust manifolds I can see it being higher in the front. Where it crosses under the differential strut rod brackets, though, it's going to get low.

Note that a 700R4 pan would be a little lower than the TKO. I probably have a picture of that somewhere...

BTW, here's my car, which is lowered front and rear. I did have issues with scraping, but at the rear section. The front has never really been a problem. I raised the rear a little bit at a time to cover it.

Magnaflow. They used my car for the prototype pattern. I toured the factory with Richard W., got a free rental car for a week, and the system was free for loaning them the car.
They also dynoed the car before and after. Picked up 13 hp over the stock converter and mufflers.

Here is the car at Magnaflow R&D. The center guy in the second pic. is Richard Waitas. You've seen him on Overhaulin and a few other shows. Sharp as a tack he is.

My long tubes are about four inches of the ground. I would like to drop the front 2". I have 18x8.5 all the way strong with 40 series tires. If I go to a shortie, I can get an extra inch clearance.

It seems mine hangs lower than yours. That just sounds bad. Lol

13 HP gain at the wheels. What is neat is the a/f mixture at the bottom. Shows how well the ECM carb system works.

I bet good money your exhaust looks better than mine. Mine's been "touched" by at least 3 different welders and only a few of them are competent. At least my headers are nice.

tfuno - which part of the state are you in?

I'm running 27.1" diameter (roughly) all around as far as tires, it does help a little with clearance and making the fender gap small. If you've gone down to C4 or C5 size tires, that will exacerbate ground clearance and fender gap "issues".

I like your tires and rims. I have given up on 15" tires. Time to change.
Besides, TT's are 3lb @ lighter.

I know Richard Waitas from my LS1GTO days. He was a wealth of information.

I too can't believe how many shops can't weld. Most look like they just glob it on.

I have the numbers somewhere, but I'm running 285/40-18s on the back with 18x9.5" TT2s and they come in at near, maybe a couple of pounds heavier than the 15x8s with 255/60-15s.

I bought the foose nitrous in 18 x 8.5. They now make a 18 x 9.5 which I round have preferred. I wanted a 19 for the rear but they don't make those. 20 is too big for me.

Thats pretty cool. Believe it or not I have the same deal with Flowmaster in Hayden Idaho. They have used 6 of my cars so far as pattern cars for a new line of stainless systems. Pretty nice stuff, and you can't beat the price! None of mine went on their Dyno though.
