My dad's Vette has rally wheels on it, they were on the car when he bought it from the original owner. Do you prefer the rally wheels or the aluminum wheels?
I prefer the rally wheels that are on the car (the wheels were painted black before my dad bought the Vette). I wanted to get a set of aluminum wheels for the car when my dad gives it to me but I think I like the rally wheels more.
:seeya I'm partial to the Aluminum wheels, but the great thing is ,once your dad gives you the car, it's yours.......please yourself and save some money at the same time. Chances are you'll find other more pressing items to spend the extra money on
I have a real nice pair of rallyes that are 10 inch wide for the rear and 8 inch wide for the front. It looks real nice. They were done by a wheel company in California.
The 15" diameter limitation comes into play here - even 16" - so I will go with Torque Thrust Twos at 17" or 18".
Centerline Warriors are awesome also but I dont think they are in the larger sizes.

As far as original wheels I prefer rallys up to 1977 ,78-82 I like The alluminum wheels. For aftermarket wheels ,those torque thrusts are the best buy far!!
If its just between stock al. and rallies. rallies. but if your going aftermarket then get 16s or 17. your handling will dramatically improve. im getting 18s, but its more for the look than the extra handling.
I've been in contact with a guy at Wheel Kinetics about making a custom set of Kinesis K58 wheels for my '78. Kinesis has confirmed that they can build these wheels at 18x8 for the front and 18x10 for the rear. They are going to run around $3000 if and when I decide to buy  Oh well, they will look pretty cool, IMO. For those that don't know, the K58 is what is on the Tigershark Concept. BTW, I have aluminums now, and I like them, but to each their own!
