I'm finally getting around to changing my old messed up soft top. I use the hard top or just park her on rainy days but I should get off my butt and replace mine. I know ALL the Corvette parts places sell them but does anyone have a prefered place or even a place to definately not go? I remember once I saw a soft top frame rebuilding kit to but I forget where. Mine squeaks. I hate that! :mad
Al Knoch makes the most authentic reproduction tops for Corvettes. He can even date the rear window, if you want. Cost?? About $180.00 complete including pads, etc. the last time I checked. He's in El Paso, Texas.
As far as the squeaky top, Coffman Corvette in Ohio and Sully's Tops (Tom Sullivan) in California make repro top frames and also all the parts to re-do your top frame, rivets, bows, etc. All the repro stuff interchanges with the original stuff. Might just need a lube job....maybe a few rivets replaced :) Chuck
