I'm all ears. This is news to me. Seems like about 25 seconds of WOT running........
I'll take any advice or insight folks can provide!

Yep, 25 to 30 seconds of WOT running. I ran just shy of 200mph in my C5. It starts to get interesting at 170-175. The car starts moving around quite a bit, but you get used to it after a run or two. There's a bump about 1/8-1/4 mile out at Beeville that will upset the car but it's not too bad driving through it once you know it's there. They are much more stringent on safety items and tires in the 200-215 mph range so pay attention to the rules closely. The staging area is a long wait, so you really have to maximize each run. With your car, I would put a lot of focus on managing airflow in and around the car or it's really gonna dance around on the top end. Your 170+ trap in the 1/2 mile is good enough for 200 in the mile in the right conditions. Have fun out there!
Thanks. They've moved it to Victoria this year...so the surface will be new to everyone. I've been e-mailing them to get approval on all the safety stuff so I do it right...so hopefully I've got it figured out.
I'm going to drop the nose a little more, block grille and change shock settings on front to help hold nose down.
What was your half mile speed? I think they track several points don't they?

I was running low-160's in the 1/2 mile. They only track mph at the 1/2 mile and the mile. I had a little issue in tech with my Toyo R888's on the front. They didn't want to tech those past 180 or so. I ran Continental road race slicks in the rear and those were no issue. Hoosier R7's are also no issue.
I ran in it a few years back at Goliad airstrip with my turbo gto. I hoped I'd get closer to 200 but 171 was as fast as I could get it. It's crazy how much simple stuff will increase mph at that distance. A guy gave me some painter tape to tape all the headlights and hood and bumper seams and went up 5 mph. Took the back and passengers seat out went up 5 mph.
My buddy's Mustang went 205 and he said he was done he wanted to hit 200 and he didn't wanna do it again. I know at 170 when you'd get on the brakes it felt like the car was gonna come apart.
