I don't know that GM made any Al intakes with that EGR and choke config.

And this is pretty typical of what they look like after they've been compressed by the hood for a while, again with a stock manifold.
As you can see there isn't a lot of room to work with. An inch possibly two at the most. The manifold I posted above is about the same as a stock cast iron manifold height wise, and no one would confuse it with a high rise or even a mid rise. If your goal is to use the stock cowl induction, I would use the height of your stock cast iron as a model for any manifold you find with the pad for the divorced choke. You can find the above manifold (#14057053) on eBay for less than $100.
GM just didn't make many aluminum manifolds that used the divorced choke, especially for a Quadrajet.

Good luck... GUSTO

Thanks Gusto. Keep in mind that I'm not limiting my choice to GM. Edelbrock, Weiand, Holley, etc. are all fine for me. I just want to know which of the third parties will work the best. I checked my stock cast iron pad heights and they are as follows:

4.5" Rear
3.0" Front
(4.5 + 3.0)/2 = 3.75" Mid

Knowing that we probably won't have an exact match out there in aluminum offerings, it would be important to know what is the tolerance we can live with on these heights for the cowl induction. However, in doing some searches I found a Weiand 8004 aluminum intake spreadbore manifold setup for divorced choke with these dims:

4.0" Rear
3.5" Front
(4 +3.5)/2 = 3.75" Mid

This may be the ticket from what I can see. Carb height is unchanged using this manifold. There may be others out there in a different brand but this looks like the perfect match.

this may work. Keep in mind, you will need to eliminate your EGR with this manifold.

The GM manifold that I used required a switch to the later EGR valve, but it worked the same as the original one. Just in a slightly different location.

Good luck and let us know how it works... GUSTO
