I was removing the dash on my '68 and finish removing the a/c when my dad wanted to try one last thing before we bring my C4 to the dealer tomorrow.
I was going to take my C4 to the dealer tomorrow because I thought I had a senseor out even though I changed all the sensors. In a 5 mile time the car gets to 250-260 degrees!! I changed the radiator, themostat, and water pump. Today I added the dye to determine if I have carbon monoxide in the coolant. Low and behold it turned the dye from blue to green!! :mad :mad :mad
So this means I either have a blown head gasket ot a craked head. I'm never going to fnish this Big Block!! :mad :mad
Re: When it rains, it FREAKING pours!!! (Corey 68)
Corey,
I KNOW how you feel. I developed a rod knock in my '87 in May. Had to drop $2800+ for the NEW shortblock from GM and valve job on the aluminum heads+ assembly... This is at the same time my 454 was done at the machine shop....... I am only now recovering and gettting the swap going on the 454.....
