Removed the balancer off my L82 and I need a new one ,but all the ones from my local shop are 7 inch .Where should I get a new one and which one did you guys use?
The smaller unit is lighter and easier to see.....plus if you get an aftermarket unit....it will have 0-50 marks on it to set your curve.
The Moroso pointer is kinda pricey, but I can tell you that on three engines that I located TDC with a bridge (heads removed) this pointer was DEAD on all three times.

I installed a Summit OE-Style Harmonic 8" Damper SUM-161358 last year. I really like it because it went on easily (no filing required), it's easy to read, and it has 60 deg BTDC 0 TDC markings (which means you don't need an offset timing light to see all-in advance).
