L-48's have a beveled edge around the circumference of the piston....this adds to cc's.
The pistons in the photo are not 17cc's.......
You figure flattop with valve reliefs is about 4cc's.......12 sounds about right.
NHRA puts the pistons for a 350/270 at 11.9 cc's.
