From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
Does anyone else...
Get a rattling tin can noise out of their mufflers or somewhere else in the exhaust system when they start it cold and then goes away when it warms up.
My entire exhaust was professionally built with mandrel bent tubes butt welded together and is solid. It hangs on the OEM hangers at the back. I cannot get any movement anywhere.
If someone has had the same problem, what was the solution ?

If you have access to a lift I would let it get cold on the lift then start it while it in the air. You may be able to use a steth0scope to locate it. It could be rubbing somewhere and when it heats up the pipe expands enough to move it and it doesnt rub anylonger or pushes against whatever its rubbng on hard enough not to rattle
I get it on my 71, for me it's the exhaust tips hitting the bezels on the drivers side. It goes away once the engine settles down , the exhaust pipe heats and expands.
My 85 has SS exhaust and it's the sound of the system expanding - like a hot water heating system in a house.
I would check where the exhaust passes through the frame - when the engine is cold it may wobble a bit. IT's also very tight where the exhaust passes the rear - can touch.
Just for fun ... Or as an old mechanic once told me - turn up the radio all the way - if it goes away / cant hear it any more - it's electrical ...
