Inspired by a member here at the forum, I got to reading up on this subject and decided that there was no downside (other than $$$) to having an exhaust crossover installed on my car. I wasn't after any more HP, just wanted it to be a bit quieter and reduce some drone around 1500 RPM.
Best location as I understand it is to put the crossover as close to the manifolds as possible, and there is just enough room there. It's a 2-1/2" inch system with a 2-1/4" pipe between the two and a couple of v-clamps to allow easy removal.
Before and after noise measurements were a drop of 3 db out the back using an app called SPLnFFT.
Nice job.
That made quite a difference in sound, what mufflers are you using?
I left that info in the YouTube comments section but I see now that doesn't show up here. They are Magnaflows but I don't have a part number. They came with a bigger pipe out the back which I kind of like over the usual smaller stock pipe. Just barely fits the available space.
