There is a bushing and crank handle shaft kit that might fix the issue for you. But when you take the bushing housing off the regulator you need to look really hard at the U that the crank shaft rides in. These things get worn over the years and the only replacement is a replacement regulator or find someone to build it back up for you.
Well check your pin on the shaft too... check both. You should be able to see wear.. It could be the bushing in the housing too.. just look at all items and see where the slack is..
Also check your regulator gear, see if teeth are worn down or missing.
It really doesn't look all that bad to me. The bushing might need to be replaced on the housing, only you'll know that by how much slop is in the shaft and bushing. But if you turn that U place on the regulator and have slop then the issue is inside and a royal pain if you try to fix it..
I can tell by looking at them that the top one has greater slop. Look at the wear on the teeth. They are much sharper than the other because they are worn.
So I had put the regulator and tracks back in, put in my new window, got it lined up, and rolled it up and down a few times to get the grease worked in, and then uh oh, it wouldn't roll down.
It clicked, like a torque wrench, released, and then would go down. It was pretty consistent. Roll it all the way up, start to go down and absolutely freeze, release it, click, it would go down.
Took everything out of the door. Used the sideways screwdriver and after a few times it did same thing.
Haven't taken the driver door apart yet, but I'm buying new regulators, right?
