Default Passenger Seat Adjuster Slide

I need to remove my passenger seat but cannot access the bolts because the seat adjuster is jammed. If you pull the lever to the side you get a little movement, less than an inch, and then a solid clunk! Is there any other way of freeing the adjuster to allow the seat to slide on its runners?

It's very difficult to explain how the seat adjuster locks in words. The bottom line is that for some reason you are not getting the lockbar clear of the notches in the lower channel. Why don't you try removing the driver's seat, flip it over, see how it works and what you need to do to move the lockbar further. The two sides are identical.
