Default Question for sharks with those inset headlights

How'd you do that? Was it just 100% custom fabrication or is there some aftermarket kit for it? If so, where/who/how can I get the required parts?

Screw originality, I would LOVE to rip out all that vacuum crap. (no offense intended to those of you with working vacuum lights :D )

thanks

wcsinx,

One source is Eckler's. Page 228 of Catalog 1202 - $430. I was thinking about those myself. I like the looks of the popups, but, the vacuum system is

There are plenty of used sets around.
I sold a set for a friend last week for $100.
They are fairly easy to come by used.
Knoxville Corvette Expo is the last weekend in October,
There is usually some used custom stuff for sale there.
Good luck.

Hmm ... I couldn't find anything like this in the online version of Ecklers catalog. I guess I'll have to look in the hardcopy.

If anyone's interested, the part is... http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?d...&pf%5Fid=10205

for c3s up to '74

and '75 on take...

I've got a brand new set in the box that I got for somebody several years back and the car got totalled before he put em in. I'll take $200. for them and I'll pay UPS. They've never been painted or taken out of the box exept to inspect em.

Installed a kit on ''Rosie'' then ''modified'' it a bit more.

Mine are on E Bay now, with a "buy it now" of $200. and pictures. This is less than half what they cost new, and these ARE Brand New.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...864350239&rd=1

Incidentally, the local Corvette shop says that the early style like mine can be used on the later style cars by drilling 1 hole in each and a minor trim on a rear corner. He says the later style ones do not retro fit on the early cars without glass work.

wcsinx, you'd probably be amazed what your original parts would bring if you listed them on E Bay.

Damn ... must ... resist

My most recent foray into the world of vacuum lights actually struck oil. I've got them moving up and down (and staying that way) with no problems now. I'm still tempted by the thought of pulling all that stuff out and buying your lights, but the fact that they're working now just makes it that much harder. :)

Ahh well, have at 'em, David. That's an awesome deal that SolidLifters is offering.
