Just spent an hour at NAPA - working on a 69 big block, originally automatic car now converted to 4 spd. Looks like I need the driveshaft joints that are wider one way than the other. NAPA is pulling up 16 different u joints for a 69, all seem to be "square". Not only that, I want the non greaseable type, really pissing off the counter guy. Anybody already know what NAPA part# is for the non greasable, wide/narrow joint?

Spicer part number 5-134x but it is not solid and greaseable.
Moog part number 253 is solid and greaseable.
I believe the moog and napa pns are the same.
Napa used to carry precision which I think were bought out by moog.
Parts guy can verify that.
Ok - now the fun has expanded to 2 more issues. First the u joints are evidently different on front and rear of shaft. Front is wide/narrow, rear is wide/wide. By wide I mean the 3 5/8" ish and narrow I mean 3 1/4" ish.
AND the clips are tight as heck. It is nice and loose until I put in the second clip then it freezes up so tight it will hardly move.
Forget NAPA.
Go to online vendor.
These are conversion u-joints. One side will be a 1350 and the other a 1330. Or one side is 1330 and the other is a 1310.
Spicer makes them.
Look at Summit or Jeg's .
Have them in a couple of days.
Order enough other stuff to get to $100 and get free shipping.
