78 front diff mount question

78 front diff mount question

Does anyone know what size bolts go in the front 2 holes of the mounting bracket? I need a new bracket and my front bolts are 1/2 inch. All the one's I am finding say the are drilled for 7/16. Possibility someone drilled and tapped holes because of sloppy worn holes?? I am confused.

what do you mean by tapped holes?
the bolts go through the bracket and differential and use nuts.

Thanks guys for your input. I think I figured it out. Someone drilled and tapped the front 2 bolts to 1/2 to eliminated the problem of getting the long bolt out due to driveshaft tunnel blocking the bolt removal. I rebuilt the bracket by welding spacer over rounded elongated holes and is back on the car..thanks
