Hi all,

I was watching a car show today on Velocity channel. They had a short segment about a small brass plate called the Powerblast Plate made by a company called Thompson Performance. The plate sits below the carb squirter and their claim is that it fans out the fuel spray and helps it atomize much better than it does standard. This better atmoization is reported to give more efficient fuel burn and much better throttle response. Have any one of you used it? Reports/reviews?

Thanks!

I'm inclined to think that if this was true, then GM and every other auto manufacturer would have used it to help sell more cars.

The only time I have every seen these type of gimmicks work is when the carb doesn't work correctly. So instead of fixing the carb its a band aid. The more effective way to atomize fuel is higher pressure and more smaller diameter squirters.

Now you are taking EFI.

I'm just going to add it only works on the Accelerator Pump Discharge Nozzle.

Won't effect cruse or even WOT once the shot is used.

You would be better off with Annular Booster setup.

But I saw an ad where Abe endorsed this item. It improved his gas mileage also.......

Does it come from the same company that makes the magnets to put on your fuel line to line up the fuel molecules to increase your gas mileage by 50%?
That **** works.
