1977 Stock Alternator Wiring
I am needing help figuring out how to correctly wire the stock alternator in my project 1977. The factory setup was hacked off and replaced with butt connectors and wire nuts... Ugly stuff...
I haven't had any luck finding how the main power stud on the alternator ties into the factory harness. If anyone has pics it would be greatly appreciated. From some of the diagrams its looks like the main power wire splices into the sense wire, which doesn't sound right to me.
I have checked out several wiring diagrams that all claim to be for a '77, but they contradict each other and none match my actual setup.
Eventually I plan to upgrade to the CS144, but right now I just am interested in getting it on the road.

Here is the factory diagram for your car. It should be correct.
Open your paint program, right click on the diagram, select copy, then paste it into your paint program. You can then color trace the circuit with your paint program. Or you can open it already enlarged at this link. http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/w...tic-tracer.png
