PO installed a crate '82 350 that originally came from a pick up, added a mildly upgraded cam. Time for an oil change. Are all 82 350's flat tappet? Or is there an easy way to tell?
Thanks as always

The upgraded cam could have been a roller one though? No easy way to tell from the outside unless maybe the cam chain cover has been upgraded for adjusting roller cam end float.

mobil one 15w50 is high in both phospahate and zinc, both are 1300 ppm. Mobil one has a chart on their website and its alot cheaper than the racing oil and easier to find. 5gallon jugs at wallyworld are $25 bucks
Living in a part of the country that gets a little cold in spring and fall and at times can get really hot in the summer, I use Castrol Edge 5W50 Full Synthetic Motor Oil. ZDDP of 1250 ppm.
