Default Why no gaskets

78, L-48. In the vendors catalogs for the right side it does not show any gasket between the heat riser & the exhaust manifold, also nothing between the heat riser and exhaust pipe.
The left side uses a donut gasket with a sleeve that goes into the exhaust pipe.
Called one of the vendors and was told no gaskets used on the right side. Since I am working on an exhaust leak this doesn't seem right.
When I took the right side apart there was a gasket between the riser & manifold. Where do I get one?

Any auto parts or muffler shop will have that. Just take the old one as a pattern.

The gasket between the manifold and the riser was triangular with rounded corners, holes for the 3 studs, and a steel ring around the 2" center opening. Again, Any parts store should have. If not, let me know and I can send you one.
