Default Trivia of the Evening-CID vrs. HP

What Corvette engine originally surpassed or matched the CID vrs. HP threshold? That is, they were equal. Or more on the HP side

OK, game over! Yes. No fooling you folks. But Chevrolet took that 283CID engine higher in HP stock form in the Corvette. How high did it go? And why?

Yes, much treasured in the 1957 Chevy. If you can find a "real" one. Mega dollars.

Aluminum heads from Corvette SS with different intake porting and bigger intake valves, enlarged plenum chamber of injection unit and higher compression pistons.

That is what I was thinking. Chevrolet was into racing in the late 1950s and did not hesitate to share its engineering successes with the buying public.
