Holy crap Jay! I must have missed an update or two because the last time I checked you only had a collection of parts. Now you have a car! Congratulations, everything is looking GREAT!

Cookwithvette: Thanks Cook, everything's going alright now and we have re-scheduled the first drive date to start of next summer, this give us all the time we need to finish all the details and get the car painted.

Did you guys notice how the rims and seats completely updated the car's looks from 70's ish to current. WOW what a difference, still love those TT2's even if everyone has them. Anyone want to buy my Eagle type 77's

Groovyjay what's up with all that multi colored wire all throughout the interior?????? Are you going to run 1500 WATT sterio or something????

Thanks man, that's has been something I've wanted it to look like from the beginning!

Actually, I'm not going to have stereos installed at this point at all, Though we are doing all the electrics from scratch so it may look bit confusing right now  :D

Those look great! Very cool. Can you swing the seat forward with the tops on? That has been my concern with aftermarket seats. If they are taller than the stock seats they will hit the roof as you swing the seatback forward to gain access to the rear compartment.

burners: Thanks, I was able to swing the seats without the brackets on and for some reason I didn't try that when I had the brackets on. Now I won't be able to try them for awhile, since I'm living 3000miles away from my carage! :D I'm thinking about getting astrotop to gain some extra head clearance, just to be sure

1. Groovyjay what size are the rims?
2. the C5 seat do not clear the T-tops but do clear C3 convertibles, see Monday's post from yellow 69 conertible (name??)
as I am in Cali I don't need tops so I'm interested in a future purchase.

Youv'e come a long way Dude.

Cali,77,L-82: 1. The wheels are 20" AR TT IIs all around, fronts are 20x8 with 255/35/20 and rears are 20x10 with 285/30/20.
2. I was looking to buy some C5 seats while ago, but when I saw these seats on the internet for the first time, I knew I had to have them :yesnod: That's good to know that C5 seats don't work in C3.

DMONSVETTE: Thanks, no problemo!

Cali,77,L-82: Yeah I'm still here, sorry it took so long to get back to you, but last two weeks have been real nightmare for me, but now everythings OK and I'm able to spend some time here again.

PrarieShark: Thanks, I think they make them in blue.

Those look GREAT, Jay.
A bit pricey for me (I'm cheap), but I'd love to have a pair.

Re: Tight fit: This reminded me of the time I put the bench seat
from my '72 Buick into my Pinto coupe (4 speed). Talk about a tight fit !!
I needed to hammer the steel door bottoms to get the hinge nuts to fit.

ps - Your Vette looks much nicer than my Pinto did !!

Very cool!!!! How's your head clearance? Looks like your ready for a Shark Bar II? I would love to go with aftermarket. I wish I had went with 17" TT2's, They look great. I'm stuck with 16" TT2's for now.

vettedan: Thanks, I'm 6" tall and head clearence is not an issue, the seats are actually quite low in seating profile. Shark bar2 looks very handy, so i'll have to get back to you when I've finished the interior. I think your 16" TT IIs look great. I just wanted something to stand out from the growd that's why I went for 20" all around.
