What Intake
I have a ZZ4 in my 73 with the GM aluminum intake. This intake is too tall to allow the use of the cowl induction air cleaner. Does anyone make an aluminum intake that I can use on the ZZ4 that has enough clearance to allow the use of the stock cowl induction air cleaner?

I have an Edelbrock Torker on my 383.
Low profile & reasonable performance.

There are a ton of past threads on which intake fit under a stock hood.
You could always go with the stock 79-81 aluminum intake, they are not awful performers.

I did a search and could not find anything that is specific to the ZZ4 and the 73 cowl induction air cleaner.

yes! 78-79 L-82 aluminum intake (not sure about the 80-81,should be the same though)...pretty good intake up to 6,000 RPM.

DD Mods, a resaler on this forum, carries a CAI that will fit a single plan manifold under a stock hood with electric fans.

I'm using this air gap. Works great.
