Mine is running a little higher. It recently ran at around 180 but I change the radiator cap from 7 psi to 16 psi. It dips below 200 when I'm on the highway but goes like 215 when I'm stuck in traffic.

gotcha both beat . my car was running 240 - 250 degrees . i changed the radiator to a 4 core , that cut it down to about 220 - 240 . i just recently put in an electric fan 2200cfm and was told to take my engine fan off as it wasnt needed . the car now runs in traffic at 220 - 240  so the way i see it , the more cooling the better , the engine fan goes back on tomorrow and the electric fan only gets used durring traffic conditions . which is when you need it the most .

Man you guys a sure running hot!
I run 210 or so when it's 90+ out. When it's cool I'm down to 180...

When I got the car I later found out the rad was shot. I yanked it and dropped in a Griffin along with a high-flow waterpump. It's never gone barely over 200 even with the A/c on in 90+ heat and traffic.

If you're running at 200, I'd be happy!

200 is NOT bad, especially if it has a 195 thermostat in it. When was the last time you did a flush & fill?

I am in the process of a coolant flush & fill (I have a rant/question thread out).

I was surprised to see that I had a 180 thermostat in there: I forgot I did that. I guess it was open all of the time because I was running about 195 after my last flush & fill (about 2-3 years ago). It had slowly crept up to about 205.

I have 100% water in it now and it sitting about 180-185. I guess it'll go up a bit when I put coolant in it tomorrow.

my radiater was hot tanked and flow tested, about a year and a half ago, i only put 650 miles on the car, but i guess 200 degrees is not that bad..

I would say it is normal. The boiling point of water is 212F. Add a little antifreeze and a 15psi rad cap and the system will tolerate much higher temps.

Mine is all stock and I changed the therm stat over to a 160. Also took out the clutch fan in put a semi-flex 18 inch fan in. It runs at 160 - 170 at any speed so far..
