Default must core support come out to pull engine?

I am finally ready to pull the engine and am wondering if I have to pull the radiator and core support out to get the engine out. I plan on pulling the tranny with the engine.

Thanks
Chris

I pulled mine with the support still in, put it back as well the same way. I did end up taking the support out to sandblast and paint it, it's a good time to do so and worth the effort.

It makes it a HECK of a lot easier with the support out, especially since the trans is coming out too. Chuck

Take out the radiator & support, gives you a lot more room to move the engine & gearbox forward.

Bingo on pulling the core support since your are pulling tranny as well. Need to support nose though. Core support helps support the nose. Use 2x4s to support just as precaution.

Great looking pictures! I am repainting my '71 back to original Bridgehampton blue. Noticed your side vents look a little different. Did you do something special to them or is it just the picture?

Also, good looking engine. What bolt ons did you use?

If you leave it in, DEFINITELY get one of the load levelers. They have a crank
that allows you to adjust the tilt of the engine/tranny as it is raised.
Anyone have a picture of this ?? There was a post a couple weeks back.

Good Luck

yes, definately support the nose. the core support adds to the structural integrity of your front end....i used 2x4's like afun '71 suggested.
