Default Washer Pump Polarity Question

For a '73, does it matter which terminal on the Washer Pump Solenoid receives the Yellow wire and which terminal hosts the Dark Blue?

PO deactivated it (taped up/spliced/etc.) for some reason, , and I want it to work again.

Thanks much.

no matter which way the current flows through the coil the magnet is energized so for functional reasons it shouldn't make a difference

Steve, Mel is right, the electromagnetic coil will work either way. But for those that are as **** as I am... the yellow wire goes to the left (driver side).

Attention to detail Ernie, is not being ****. It's being correct.

You and all there at Willcox have a fine Memorial Day Weekend.
