5/6- Link suspension: Overkill or killer addition?
Hey all, with the Vette Brakes group purchase looming, It got me to thinking about the 5/6-link suspension mod people have been talking about. I have already decided to go with the Vette Brakes suspension for now. Would it be overkill to add a 5/6-link setup in the future? My car is primariy a street driver with occasional trips to the strip. I like handling, but this car will primarily be used for straight shots. What are your thoughts on the 5/6-link setups?
Re: 5/6- Link suspension: Overkill or killer addition? (Last Ride)
Dear Bryan,
Like you, I am fascinated by the "six-link" rear suspension. I have a copy of the May 1993 Corvette Fever (page 33) with a photo of one and there is mention of an article with more detail in the September 1990 edition, which I do not have. As you know, the standard suspension on a C3 is pretty agricultural by modern standards and I would sure like to see a repeat of this article or any other up to date info on one. Can VBP or Ecklers or anyone else shed some light, please.

Here's the Poorman's 6 link I made for my 77 if it'll help make your decision any easier. Other guys like Norval have designed and built their own 6 links with far more technique and ability than I'll ever have.
