Tilt had some play, so I Disassembled the tilt telescope column. When re assembling the lock assembly, I have lost the detents. Start is spring loaded, the lock and key removal is good. Have no run, or accessory detention. Does this indicate the switch activator rack piece did not attach to the ignition switch acuator rod? Also is the key buzzer clip necessary for anything other than buzzing? Thnx.

You have to adjust the ignition switch if you had it off the car and, you can tell if the rack is working by feeling the rod at the switch. If the rack is working properly you'll feel the rod move with the ignition switch.
Thank! Got it corrected. Next issue. Tested the blinkers and 4 ways before putting installing the items aft of blinker assembly. All worked. with finish install, their not working...

Reason: Spelling
Everything seemed to be good! However, the steering shaft is definitely more snug as well. A quick road test demonstrated that it is a little slow to self center after turning and it doesn't "wiggle" around. I did grease the bearings, shaft and tilt ball joint as well as tighten the 4 bolts on the saddle joint. Typical after a refresh?
