Just changed out a set of squealing rear brake pads and that cured the squeak and squal but now my brake light is on and after several test drives and breaking it will not go off?????
All help, tech advice etc is most certainly needed..
Gee isn't there another way..as I am not very mechanically inclined
I did however check the master cylinder and both chambers were full..

It sounds like you have air in the brake system. The system needs to be bled by someone who knows how to work on the Corvette brake system. Do not attempt if you are not mechanically inclined. Just my opinion.
hit the brake pedal real hard while sitting still, that will usually reset the valve.
Yes this will reset the valve. If there are problems with the system then the brake light will just come right back on the next time you stop. Then the valve will need to be reset once again.
You can do it with or without the engine running. You will feel a little click through the brake pedal when it resets.
