borgeson steering box interference
I'm wanting to upgrade the steering box on my 70, has anyone done this and had interference issues with aftermarket headers, as well as interference with the sparkplugs with angle plug heads?

I just dropped my BBC into my '73 with Brodix RRO heads. No plug or steering box conflict at all. This is with solid motor mounts, Hedman long tube headers and Accel ceramic plug boots. Maybe 3/4" clearance to steering box. Less than 1/16" clearance from header to frame on passenger side. Went ahead and clearance that header a bit. Otherwise fits just like it belongs there.

I had to do minor clearancing on my Doug's BBC side mount headers for Borgeson box and frame clearance on the driver's side. Plug clearance is great except for #3 and #5, but those aren't too bad to remove/replace from below with and open ended plug socket.

This is interesting because I had Hooker sidemounts with the stock housing and no interference. Now with Headman headers and the borgeson, there is no interference at all, in fact it fits real nice. Seems there is a bit of a difference in the motor mounts and or the headers on these cars. Not sure what to make of that.
