Default Turn signal plastic cam

Just looking to see if anyone has had an issue removing the plastic retaining cam on the steering column. I have to replace my ignition switch in the column, and I barely touched the clip and a piece broke off. Any ideas on how to remove it? Thanks!

Yup, gets very brittle. No matter what you do, it will break. Just buy a new one.
