Another Mystery solved!
RE: Plastic slides for 72 Shifter need to be installed as follows:
1. Sit in kitchen chair.
2. Place receiving console panel upside down on lap.
3. Insert BOTH PLASTIC SLIDES AT SAME TIME.
4. Reassembly console panel.
5. Have a beer!
