Thought I would add to this thread. Have same issue as the OP. I removed power steering belt. Same squeal. New alternator, same squeal. Water pump is 3 years old. Removed clutch fan. No squeal. Put on new fan clutch, squeal is back. Not sure what to do.

check all your pulleys for wobble can be as simple as the ac clutch engaging sporadically or a very slight main bearing out of round causing the puleys to be mis aligned, you have narrowed it down to water pump to fan sp checking those 2 pulleys will probably show an alignment wobble the new belt dressing isn't the same as the old oil type so if you have not replaced the fan belt a tiny bit of 90 weight oil instead of the new belt dressing may also fix it, but I wouldn't use the oil if the belt is a new nylon one

See my solution up above - I finally figured out what my problem was. I did not have the proper belt...when I got the proper belt and routed it properly, the problem went away!
