Sooo. I'm hoping there is an easier solution to this. I hear a loud screeching noise on hard accels only in the higher RPM range from what I can tell its coming form the rear end. I pulled the check plug for the fluid. It is nice and full however, it is pretty milky. DO you thinking changing the fluid would help this? Also please tell me there is an easier way then pulling the rear diff cover to drain. I really don't want to mess with all the rust around those leaf springs.

you use a hand pump to drain the rear fluid. Have you checked for excessive wheel bearing play and also checked for rust dust around the u-joint caps indicating a failed u-joint?
Not that I know of. However, you know the history they give you when you buy a car. However, nothing is extremely rusted to the point I would suspect that

I did not even think to check the rear wheel bearings. There is slight play in both sides. The U-joints appear ok look like they have been changed before.

Drain the fluid/pump it out. Let it sit and separate. I suspect water, in which case, well, lets see what you get out of there.
Well I have an update. Wont be sure until I change it. However, Noise that sounded like it was coming from the rear end got worse... And the trans started slipping. Not sure if the noise was just transferring through the Drive shaft or just the crappy acoustic in the car was playing with me. It appears the trans has seen better days
