It seems everytime I fix something I get a new problem. I fixed the noise coming from the rear. I Had some play in the wheel bearings. I reset the bearings. I ordered the 3/4" die to fix my spindle threads. The thread file didn't work out for me. I got my Demon tuned in right. Changed my timing and she was running like a dream :D
I started to notice a little lack in power. I Opened the hood and thought I was going to get sick! I blew a head gasket! My crate engine has 2,500 miles on it, so what do it do? I have been hard on it! Will GM fix it for me? I was thinking since I have to take the heads off to just get them done and get a new cam? I want to get over 400 horse! If I do that then no more warranty!

When you say " I have been hard on it " can you elaborate a little more on this ? Like have you been in the 6000RPM neighbourhood for any extended periods of time ? :D

I think that GM crate engines are run to test tolerances. Typical break-in once installed in your car is 500 miles with no excessive rpms (no racing).
If just a head gasket, I'd change it out myself. Even with warranty, you are going to pay for labor for GM to tear it down; who knows what 'else' they will find.

Don't panic yet as you don't really know what you are dealing with yet. If it is a head gasket then I'm sure that GM will pay for that, but the actual repair costs?
Take it to a mechnaic, a professional probabably has to look at it for warranty issues. Tell him you've taken it to redline a few times, should still be OK with the warranty. I would not start tearing it sown myself until a mechanic has documented the failure, as that could result in a void warranty.
If you can get dealer approval you could take it to an independant guy and have them put new heads and cam having GM pay for at least a bulk of the labor.

One more thing, any motor is not bullet proof, you will blow them if they are abused. I have blown a few and I know all the labour and money involved so I tend to take it easy on them now.
That being said I have had the current motor in my car for 5 years and have just bought a NOS Cheater kit for, if it blows now I got my money and fun out of it, it was a different story when it was new. :D
