Default 77 corvette courtesy lights will not work.

My courtesy lights worked but now they don't. Fuse is good and testing white wire from lamps to ground there is power. I know ground from door switch goes to steering column. Where could the trouble be?

It could be your light timer if your headlight switch still turns on the the lights.

Agreed. It is the timer sometimes GM called it the theater dimmer. Up behind glove box. It is an orange colored square box with a plug on one side. If you don't want the dimmer feature any more you can simply put a jumper wire in the connector and your interior lights will work like any other car. Easy fix.

See this thread. My 81 has the timer behind the glove box as described. I thought I had heard the 77 was a different unit in a different location.

Not as easy to get to. Good luck.

77 has the courtesy light timer taped to the dash harness between the speedo and tach. Not very easy to get to, but it can be removed and the white wires plugged together.
