Default Oil Pump Bolt 454

I have a modded BBC 454 Mark IV 4 bolt main that was going to be used for marine use and I decided to put it in my 1973 convertible. I took out original numbers matching 454 motor for future rebuild.
In order to put this motor in, I had to change the existing oil pan and pump w/long pickup because it will not fit in the car. I purchased a new corvette oil pan and HV77 oil pump/pickup. The marine pan had the windage tray built into the pan. With this new pan, in order to put a windage tray in like my numbers motor, I had to change 4 main bolts to windage tray studs like the original motor which was no problem. The problem I am having is finding the correct OIL PUMP bolt that has the additional threading on top of the bolt to bolt the windage tray on to. Going nuts trying to find this bolt! The ARP 230-7003 stud kit is 3.15" which is a 1/2 inch short. Can anyone help me with finding this oil pump bolt with the threaded top for the windage tray installation. Can this part be ordered at GM dealer?

Are you aware that a motor "built for marine use" is built using different tolerances than a motor built for street use?

The owner originally wanted to put this motor in a 72 Chevelle but decided it would be awesome to drop it in his speed boat. He just put on a larger oil pan with builtin baffles, scrapper and so on and a few weekends ago wrecked the boat and did not get to put this motor in. The chevelle has another motor in it now so I bought it because it was a street motor to start. But that is definitely interesting to know that bit of information about marine and street tolerances.

i don't have part number available but I never had trouble putting them together. The tray isn't very thick. You got a pic of what you're using?

You could get a good grade 8 stud and nut at hardware store if neded. Not a highly stressed part.

Jim.

I found the BOLT and it was only 2 miles away! I had set the clearance of the new oil pump pickup and new oil pan last night and this morning I went to the nearby race engine shop, who tuned and broke in the motor for me on the dyno with the old pan on, to have the pickup braised onto the pump. While telling the owner about the bolt I was looking for, he new right away the bolt/stud I needed and will provide it for me when I pick up the pump tomorrow. He said this bolt type is now being used in the LS6 motors and buys them from his supplier. So they do exist and will know tomorrow for sure when I install the pump and windage tray onto that bolt/stud.

Please update us with vendor and P/N if possible, I'm a couple weeks away from putting mine back together with the same combo. Thanks

I just installed the oil pump and stud, perfect fit and now put on the windage tray but cannot find the torques specs for the windage tray nuts. Can anyone lead me to this info.
