Default Some Serious Engine Heat Extraction

I performed an LS swap several years ago, taking a sad looking C3 from a boring life and giving her a little more pride. Yes. The stripe was on her when I purchased her. So was the numbers matching 190 hp L48....yawn..

It didn't take long to change that

It didn't take long to remedy the engine either

I squeezed a 6.0 iron block and an LS3 top end in, kept the AC, power steering and converted to dual electric fans.

This went great, even in our hot Oklahoma summers until GM did a recall on these and started showing up for sale..

Naturally, I had to had one, and after some careful measuring, I pulled the trigger

And to get one to fit in a C3, this is your arrangement

Now, I'm left with finding a cold air solution and removal of hot engine air, both of which I'm about to implement. The far largest issue is needing to shed hot engine compartment air, as it REALLY needs it. Then came the article involving Jimmy Johnson and his C3 LSx restomod...namely the L88 hood with the clever C7 heat extractors built in. Seeing this, I had to implement it into the build, whether I made it myself or someone beat me to it. Well, someone beat me to it. Usher in Trackspec, and their long version of a heat extractor specifically designed for the L88 hood scoop

After some clay measuring for clearance, I pulled the trigger and ordered the long version.

I'll post progress when the kit comes in!
