q-jet question. This one's going to throw ya.
Non elec carb.
But if your familiar with a ecm driven q-jet like our 81,
It's mixture solenoid fits in this spot in the carb. (Try to picture it).
Now this non computer controlled Q-jet has a pod with a metering rod sticking down into a jet in the floor of the carb in this spot.
What the heck is it?
Looks alien.
Should I kill it?
Just kidding........

Well, That's in the correct spot. But that isn't it.
I'm going to the barn and get the numbers off the carb for you.
That would be cool if it is some sort of double pumper.......
(I should say, it runs very well with 73 primarys and CJ rods).

That's it!
It's called an aneroid spool.
Say's it compensates for elevation.
Dang, I wonder if a blower was used this would make the carb work at psi
above 14.7
