A/C intermittent
My AC wasn't working, so I took to my AC guy, he checked, the pressure is great, he thinks it's something to do with vacuum and no-one there knows anything about Corvette Vacuum on a C3. On my way home, I turned the AC off and on again, the AC started working again, then it quit, only hot air, then it started working again. Any suggestions, it's currently working really good, this has been going on for a few weeks now. Is there something vacuum? I was having problems also with the wipers start and stop, at the moment everything is working correctly.

could be vacuume. But you need to find out if the ac compressor is working when the you have heat coming out of the vents.do you have a manual hot water valve ?The one that came from the factory is operated by vacuume.

I have manual valves on both header lines and they are turned off for the summer...I sent a msg to Willcox Corvette to see if I can purchase CD of the Chassis Service Manual. From some research, that CD or Book gives a good explanation and picture of the Vacuum system. I just had the dash apart, center counsel out, wondering if I did something when reinstalling everything???
The compressor is working, when the blower in the dash sends out warm air, the line on the compressor is cold with frost on it..

I would check Wilcox web page for vac lines diagram.AC pressure may be good but if the ac low pressure switch is bad it would turn off compresser. Then reset it self and come back on.

My C3 is a 1973 Coupe, it's factory AC, I know that, I found the build paperwork in the dash last year, was repairing some very special work buba did...
I ran it for a while last night again, it's still working and temp in the ducks is 49 degrees. When doesn't work and only blows out warm air, the compressor is working, the line, I think the low side has frost or ice on it, the line coming out the heater assembly on the firewall is warm, when working, it's cold going into the housing and exiting...
