I recently had my ps control valve replaced due to a leak.on getting the car back it had a dramatic pull to the right, excessive stiffness in turning the wheel and the wheel is not cantered, out about 5 degrees. The installing technician has tried multiple adjustments on the control valve and made it somewhat better but it is still stiffer to the right than to the left, more sensitive on driving and the steering wheel is still not cantered. Do you think this is all in the adjustment or could it be a defective new control valve?
do you know exactly what procedure the technician is using to adjust the valve?
with the car on the lift and engine running is he turning the adjustment till the steering starts moving by itself then turning the adjustment back the other way till the steering starts moving in the opposite direction while counting the number of adjustment turns and then setting the adjustment to the halfway point of the number of turns?
did they also do a front wheel alignment including toein adjustment which would account for the steering wheel being not centered ?
